He is the most important figure in the Yezid faith and is often compared to a peacock. People who are not part of the Yezid faith may think of him as a devil.

The Yezidism belief is symbolized by the peacock. As I learned more about it, it seemed to be quite patriarchal. It is very similar to Zoroastrianism and Mitrazim. The peacock is seen as holy because of the eye-like shapes on its wings, which is believed to represent an angel that God in the Mithra religion sent to rule the world.

The Yezidis believe that the Angel Peacock is a savior. This is similar to the Devil in Islam and Christianity, but not exactly the same. They think that God is not involved in the world, so they give the Angel Peacock special powers that are almost like those of a god.
